Denim

Durable and organic

Everyone owns a pair of jeans. This everyday item might not seem extraordinary at first glance, but in reality, denim is one of the most unique materials out there.

Denim undergoes colour changes during the dyeing process and over time, depending on how you wear and wash it. The shade and fades of denim become a reflection of your lifestyle. Just like with facial wrinkles or cracks on a plate, you can be self-conscious about them, or you can embrace them as part of your unique story.

At 12 STOREEZ, we're committed to creating jeans that not only offer impeccable fit but also last long and don't compromise on environmental consciousness. Alongside jeans, our collection includes denim skirts, shorts, shirts, vests, dresses, and jackets.

Durability

We opt for long-staple cotton: the longer the fibre, the stronger the cotton thread, resulting in jeans that withstand wear and tear better.

Our denim weighs between 12 and 14 ounces, featuring a noticeable rib that absorbs dye exceptionally well. Its dense structure also ensures it retains its shape over time.

Our spring-summer collection includes lighter denim weighing 10 to 12 ounces. The composition ranges from 100% cotton to blends with TENCEL™ or viscose. This type of denim is softer and more supple, making it perfect for warmer seasons.

12 STOREEZ denim is created with an environmentally-friendly approach at all stages of production, from choosing organic cotton as the raw material to the dyeing process and hardware.

Fabrics

Over 80% of 12 STOREEZ denim is made from organic cotton certified by GOTS or OCS.

GOTS (GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD)
Guarantees eco-friendly cotton production, good working conditions, and fair wages for farmers.

OCS (ORGANIC CONTENT STANDARD)
Confirms that cotton is cultivated without pesticides to maintain the purity of the soil and water and to eliminate harmful impacts on the health of farmers.

Hardware

Starting from the Autumn-Winter 2022 season, we incorporate recycled materials in our hardware production: rivets, buttons, and snaps use 30% to 45% of recycled metal. Our zip tapes are also partially made from recycled plastic and polyester.

Dyeing

This production stage sets denim apart from other materials. Starting from the Autumn-Winter 2022 season, over half of our products are produced in Turkey, where we monitor the environmental impact of dyeing using the EIM Score system.

This system considers water and energy consumption, chemical impact, and worker health. It evaluates the specific dyeing recipe and calculates its level of impact: we only work with low and medium levels. If we enter the high-impact zone, we adjust the dyeing recipe.

Suppliers and production

Our fabrics are sourced from Italy, Japan, Turkey, and China, while the garments are manufactured in China and Turkey. Many of our partners are renowned denim experts. Among them is the fourth-generation family-owned Italian factory, Candiani, known for producing exceptionally soft denim.

In Turkey, we partner with ORTA, a factory that implements innovative technologies in denim production. For instance, they use the Indigo Flow dyeing method, which involves a specially formulated dye that penetrates deeper into the threads and bonds better with the fabric. This reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 54% and water consumption by 17%.

Appearance

Denim holds its shape well, and with a wide range of styles and sizes, there's a higher chance of finding jeans that will fit you perfectly.

Denim is made from two intertwining threads: one dyed in classic indigo, dark grey, or another colour, and one white. The dye can wash out over time, developing unique fades and shades, which make each pair of jeans one-of-a-kind.

Naming

For convenience, we use numbers in our jeans' titles. They represent specific attributes including the silhouette, rise, and style.

Also 1 — Slim, 3 — Straight, 4 — Wide Leg, 5 — Relaxed, 6 — Boyfriend, 7 — Tapered.
